Bruce W. Tuckman
1938 -
Best known for his article published in 1965, "Development Sequence in Small Groups", in which Tuckman states his theory that groups undergo four stages in development: Forming, Storming, Norming and Performing. In 1977, he refined the model by adding a fifth stage: Adjourning. The Tuckman model is widely regarded as one of the most influential group development models. Dr. Tuckman is a scientist, consultant and Professor Emeritus of Educational Psychology at The Ohio State University. He earned his Master’s degree (M.A.) from Princeton in 1962 and his doctorate (Ph.D) in 1963. Find out more by clicking HERE!
